Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, our friendly driver will greet you and transfer you to your beachfront hotel in Dar Es Salaam. After checking in, take the time to unwind and recuperate from your long flight. Enjoy the serene surroundings and the gentle sounds of the ocean, a perfect way to prepare for the exciting adventures in the next few days. Your stay includes half board meals, offering you either breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner to suit your schedule and preferences.

- Day 2: Relaxing Day at the Hotel
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast while enjoying the stunning ocean views from the comfort of your hotel room. Later, meet with your tour curator to discuss the exciting plans for the days ahead, ensuring every detail is tailored to your preferences. Spend the rest of the day at your own pace, taking advantage of the hotel’s amenities. You can choose to lounge by the pool, take a refreshing swim, or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment (optional and subject to an additional fee). Today will leave you refreshed and prepare you for the thrilling safari adventures ahead.

- Day 3: Dar es Salaam Cultural and City Tour
After a delicious breakfast, get ready to explore the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam. At 9:00 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel to begin your city tour. Discover significant landmarks that showcase the rich history and culture of both the city and the nation. Highlights of your tour include the Independence Tower, Azania Front Church, Saint Joseph Cathedral, Askari Monument, and the bustling Fish Market. Visit the National Museum to delve into Tanzania’s history, and experience firsthand the lively atmosphere of Kariakoo Market. Enjoy the craftsmanship at Mwenge Wood Carvers Market and immerse yourself in traditional Tanzanian culture at Makumbusho Village, where you can even try your hand at traditional dances.
After this enriching tour, return to your hotel for lunch and some relaxation. Spend the evening unwinding and reflecting on today’s tour experiences.

- Day 4: Transfer From Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park & River Boat Safari
After breakfast at around 7:30 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam for your journey to Nyerere National Park, part of the largest game reserves in Africa. Opting for driving rather than flying allows you the opportunity to witness the gradual transition from the urban setting of Dar es Salaam to the serene countryside. As you travel through various towns and villages, you’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes and get a glimpse into the daily lives of the locals, including their farming activities.
Upon arrival at Nyerere National Park, check into your accommodation and take some time to settle in. In the late afternoon, around 4:00 PM, you will set out for a captivating sunset river boat safari along the vast Rufiji River. This experience offers the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds, all while soaking in the breathtaking sunset.

- Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
Start your day with an early breakfast, preparing for an exhilarating full-day safari in Nyerere National Park. With a packed lunch ready, our driver will pick you up from your lodge and take you on an extensive game drive through the park’s stunning landscapes.
Today is your chance to experience the remarkable wildlife of Nyerere National Park up close. The park offers a high probability of sightings including giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, warthogs, zebras, cape buffaloes, and kudus. With some luck, you might also spot lions and leopards. The park’s vastness ensures a sense of exclusivity, as you’re unlikely to encounter many other safari vehicles during your adventure.
Your full-day game drive allows ample time to explore different habitats and observe a plethora of wildlife. After a day filled with incredible encounters, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 6: Full Day – Game Drive and Hot Spring Adventure
Prepare for another captivating day as you depart from your lodge after an early breakfast for a fantastic wildlife drive through the rolling landscapes of Africa’s largest game reserve. With wildlife sightings and breathtaking scenery as your backdrop, the journey to the natural hot springs promises an unforgettable experience.
En route to the hot springs, delve in the raw beauty of the African wilderness, keeping an eye out for wildlife and wonderful landmarks. Your packed lunch ensures you stay energized throughout the day.
Upon reaching the natural hot spring, situated in the heart of the wilderness, you’ll have the option to indulge in a refreshing swim in the naturally warm waters. Let the rejuvenating atmosphere of the hot springs revitalize your senses as you soak in the serene surroundings.
After a wonderful day of discovery and adventures, return to your accommodation adjacent to the great Rufiji River, where you can unwind and dine, while reflecting on today’s unforgettable experiences.

- Day 7: Night Safari Adventure
Take advantage of a leisurely morning and afternoon to savor the serene ambiance of your accommodation nestled along the picturesque Rufiji River.
In the early evening, prepare for an exhilarating adventure as we embark on a Night Safari, an experience that promises to unveil the mysteries of the nocturnal world. Led by our expert safari guides, venture into the darkness of the African bush, where a realm of hidden wonders awaits discovery.
Under the blanket of the night sky, encounter an array of elusive creatures, from nocturnal mammals to captivating avian species, each thriving in the cool embrace of the night. With the aid of special equipment and the keen eyes of your guides, you will witness the raw drama of the wilderness after sunset, offering a unique perspective on the rhythms of nature.
After approximately four hours of thrilling adventures, return to your lodge, where you can revisit the thrilling encounters of your night game drive and unwind in comfort, under the vast starlit skies of Nyerere Game Reserve.

- Day 8: Village Tour & Transfer to Zanzibar
Begin your day with an enriching village tour, experiencing local life firsthand with your local guide. Immerse yourself in the vibrant cultures and traditions of the local tribes. This interactive experience offers a window into their history, daily life, and customs, providing an authentic glimpse into the heart of Tanzanian culture. Enjoy a packed lunch while engaging in these activities.
After the village tour, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the idyllic island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome from one of our representatives and be transferred to your booked accommodation.
Once settled in your hotel room, your curator will meet with you to review the exciting itinerary planned for the upcoming days, ensuring a seamless transition from the wilderness to the romantic beaches of Zanzibar.

- Day 9: Jozani Forest and Butterfly Center
After breakfast around 8:30 a.m., you’ll head to Jozani Forest, a national park established as a nature reserve in the 1960s. The park is home to numerous endemic species of flora and fauna, including the rare red colobus monkeys, enchanting Zanzibar mangroves, bushbuck, and a variety of stunning trees and plants.
Following your exploration of Jozani Forest, you’ll visit the nearby Butterfly Center. This charming attraction features gardens landscaped to mimic the butterflies’ natural rainforest habitats. Wander through the center as butterflies flutter around you, providing a magical experience.
Alternatively, you may choose to visit a spice plantation to learn about the various spices that Zanzibar is famous for.
After these activities, you’ll be transported back to your hotel. Spend your evening unwinding at the beach.

- Day 10: Swimming With Turtles and Maasai Cultural Tour
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Nungwi turtle aquarium region. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to appreciate and experience swimming with turtles, a rare and unforgettable encounter.
Following this aquatic adventure, indulge in a delicious lunch before setting out on a Maasai cultural tour. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions and heritage of the Maasai tribe as you learn about their culture, customs, and way of life.
