More about Arusha National Park

The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including antelope, buffalo, leopard, hyena, baboon, colobus monkey, giraffe, and elephant, as well as over 600 bird species. However, there are no lions in the park.

A walking safari is a popular activity in the park, as it offers the chance to experience the African bush on foot, safely guided by an experienced guide. This allows for close-up observations of wildlife without the disturbance of vehicles and roads. Canoe safaris along the shorelines of the Momella Lake also offer the opportunity to get close to buffalo, giraffes, bushbucks, and waterbucks, as well as observing the park’s prolific birdlife.

The park can be visited all year round, thanks to its good road links. While it may not be as popular as other safari destinations such as Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha National Park offers a unique and natural safari experience that should not be missed.
